The Department of Computer Engineering at Pillai College of Engineering (Autonomous), New Panvel, is set to organize a Two-Day Seminar in Marathi Language on the theme “AI-Powered Cybercrime and Its Prevention” on 7th and 8th November, 2025. The seminar will be conducted under the AICTE-VAANI scheme, an initiative aimed at promoting technical education in Indian languages and fostering awareness of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity.

The seminar will bring together leading experts from Google, Capgemini, CDAC, SBI, Pillai College of Engineering, RAIT, and Cyber Secured India, who will share their expertise through interactive sessions and real-world case studies. The event will be conducted entirely in Marathi to make complex technical concepts accessible to a broader audience. Participants from various engineering and industry professionals are expected to attend the seminar, creating a platform for academic-industry interaction and collaborative learning. Topics will include AI fundamentals, Generative AI, Cyber Warfare, AI-assisted Cybercrimes, and Ethical Governance in AI for Security.

Conducting such events in regional languages like Marathi plays a vital role in making advanced technological knowledge inclusive and relatable. It enables students and professionals to grasp complex AI and cybersecurity concepts more effectively, bridging the communication gap and strengthening the foundation for innovation in local communities.

With sessions designed to combine academic depth with industry insight, the seminar aims to enhance understanding of AI’s dual role in both defending against and enabling cybercrimes. Participants—including faculty, students, and industry personnel—will gain valuable exposure to AI-powered cybersecurity tools, ethical practices, and future trends. न्यू पनवेल येथील पिल्लई अभियांत्रिकी महाविद्यालयात (स्वायत्त) मधील संगणक अभियांत्रिकी विभागातर्फे “कृत्रिम बुद्धिमता संचालित सायबर गुन्हे व त्यावरील प्रतिबंधक उपाययोजना” या विषयावर दोन दिवसीय सेमिनार ७ आणि ८ नोव्हेंबर २०२५ रोजी आयोजित करण्यात येणार आहे. हा सेमिनार एआयसीटीई–वाणी योजनेअंतर्गत आयोजित करण्यात येत आहे, ज्याचा उद्देश भारतीय भाषांमध्ये तांत्रिक शिक्षणाचा प्रसार करणे आणि आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजन्स (कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता) तसेच सायबरसिक्युरिटी (सायबर सुरक्षे) सारख्या उदयोन्मुख तंत्रज्ञानाविषयी जनजागृती वाढवणे हा आहे.

या सेमिनारमध्ये गूगल, कॅपजेमिनी, सी-डॅक, एसबीआय, पिल्लई महाविद्यालय, “आर.ए.आय.टी.” महाविद्यालय आणि सायबर सिक्युअर्ड इंडिया या संस्थांमधील प्रमुख तज्ज्ञ सहभागी होणार आहेत. ते आपल्या अनुभवांद्वारे परस्पर संवादात्मक सत्रे आणि वास्तविक उदाहरणांच्या माध्यमातून ज्ञान सामायिक करतील. हा संपूर्ण कार्यक्रम मराठी भाषेत आयोजित करण्यात येणार असून त्यामुळे गुंतागुंतीचे तांत्रिक संकल्पना सर्वसामान्यांसाठी सुलभ आणि समजण्यासारख्या होतील. विविध अभियांत्रिकी संस्था व उद्योग क्षेत्रातील व्यावसायिक या कार्यक्रमात सहभागी होणार आहेत, ज्यामुळे शैक्षणिक–औद्योगिक संवाद आणि सहकार्यपूर्ण शिक्षण यासाठी व्यासपीठ निर्माण होईल. चर्चेच्या विषयांमध्ये एआयची मूलभूत तत्त्वे, जनरेटिव्ह एआय, सायबर वॉरफेअर (सायबर युद्ध), एआय-सहाय्यित सायबर गुन्हे, तसेच सुरक्षेसाठी एआयतील नैतिक प्रशासन (एथिकल गव्हर्नन्स) यांचा समावेश असेल.

मराठीसारख्या प्रादेशिक भाषांमध्ये अशा प्रकारचे कार्यक्रम आयोजित करणे अत्यंत महत्त्वाचे ठरते, कारण यामुळे प्रगत तांत्रिक ज्ञान सर्वसमावेशक आणि सहजपणे संबंधित बनते. विद्यार्थी व व्यावसायिक यांना कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता आणि सायबर सुरक्षा या विषयांतील गुंतागुंतीच्या संकल्पना अधिक प्रभावीपणे समजतात, परिणामी संवादातील अडथळे कमी होतात आणि स्थानिक पातळीवरील नवोपक्रमासाठी भक्कम पाया तयार होतो.
