1st May is celebrated as Maharashtra Day every year in India. This is the date on which the formation of the state Maharashtra was done from the Bombay State in the year of 1960. At Pillai college of Engineering, Maharashtra day was celebrated with the flag hoisting ceremony. The chief guest for the day was Dr. Prashant Nitnaware, professor in Computer Engineering department, PCE. The program consisted speech followed by patriotic song. The program concluded with the Principal’s address.
